Iron is found in every cell in the body and almost all of it is combined with protein. In one tenth of a teaspoon there is about 4 grams of iron in an average 150-pound person. The hemoglobin molecule, essential for carrying oxygen throughout our system, contains 60-70 per cent of the body's iron. The iron used in Life zone is a patented proprietary iron that has a GRAS (generally recognized as safe) rating from the FDA for normal iron blood support.
In addition to the amino acid chelated iron GRAS rating, Life Zone adds vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal-5-phosphate, vitamin B-9 as methyyfolate and vitamin B12 Methylcobalamin that vegans and vegetarians require.
Normal blood levels involve the production of hemoglobin and myoglobin (the form of hemoglobin found in muscle tissue), and the oxygenation of red blood cells. Life Zone Iron provides nutritional support for these productions. It supports a healthy immune system, energy production, endurance, and protein metabolism.
